He talks to three misguided ghosts who stand by their terrible, fatal decisions. After drinking to excess and claiming that he is fine to drive, Will wakes up in a graveyard. The conceit of the episode is a rendezvous with the departed. But in typical Fresh Prince fashion, old is made new again. The lesson in this episode is not particularly groundbreaking: don’t succumb to peer pressure and don’t drink and drive. "YOU'VE GOT TO BE A FOOTBALL HERO" SEASON 4 EPISODE 12 Will is a tourist in a rich lifestyle and even though he can imagine that he’s part of that world by proxy, when he considers his future he’s forced to realize his reality is world’s different than that of his cousins’.Ĩ. In order to get back to Bel-Air and stay there, Will has to make his own way on his own terms and he has a hard time overcoming his pride and accepting help. But Will’s stint in Bel-Air is a temporary visa. He has the luxury of self-selecting out of the real world when it proves to be too inconvenient (“I’ll send Geoffrey for my things,” he says as he abandons Will). Hilary moves back into the pool house whenever she feels like it and Carlton moves back home immediately after getting evicted. Carlton, Ashley, and Hilary always have a safety net. Even though Aunt Viv and Uncle Phil treat Will like a son, there’s a major difference between Will and his cousins. Will and Carlton are evicted from their apartment and Will tries to avoid moving back home. "WHERE THERE'S A WILL, THERE'S A WAY (PART II)" SEASON 4, EPISODE 2Ĭaveat: I think I may be partial to this episode more for what it says symbolically than what happens in the episode itself. Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv are the parents you wish you had not because they’re idealized and unrealistic and not because their lives are difficulty-free, but because they’re willing to undergo those difficult phases together.ĩ. In the last scene, she sits down with her parents to have a frank discussion. ![]() But as the episode progresses, Will’s own inexperience deems him unfit to counsel Ashley. ![]() Will tries to tell Ashley she should talk to her mom and Ashley says it’s too uncomfortable. Will has a short-lived moment of self-reckoning but the crux of the episode is more focused on what a healthy relationship looks like between parents and teenagers. You don’t want to be that kind of girl.” Ashley replies, “You mean the kind that you like?” Ashley forces Will to confront his own hypocrisy when she reminds him that he never calls the girls who don’t get physical. Will says, “I want you to stop having these feelings. When Ashley asks Will about sex, he freaks out because he can’t fathom his younger cousin coming into her own sexuality. ![]() Their relationship is one of the most well-crafted bonds in the show and it shows a side of Will that complicates his womanizer image. "BE MY BABY TONIGHT" SEASON 2, EPISODE 23Īnything with Will and Ashley is heart-warming. ![]() The cast of "Fresh Prince" takes a break from filming, October 1990 - Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Imagesġ0. The Fresh Prince’s greatest legacy is that it helped facilitate discourse about what it means to be a minority by making the issue a primetime one. The show packs so much heart and manages to teach without feeling didactic. The show addresses a spectrum of issues that range from standard suburban teenager problems like bullying and peer pressure (“Not With My Cousin You Don’t” and “She Ain’t Heavy”) to much more nuanced societal problems like interracial marriage (see #5) and what it means to be a single mom (“Vying for Attention”). There are so many quality episodes that didn’t make the list that address serious subject matter: classism (“Geoffrey Cleans Up”), sex (“The Best Laid Plans”), bribery (“To Thine Own Self Be Blue…and Gold”), drugs (“Just Say Yo”). The beauty of the show is how it balances darkness with levity (did anyone actually think Trevor’s death was tragic?). The class commentary is sophisticated and brutally honest, especially for a comedy. Will’s antics brought to light issues like racial profiling and representation (“ Father Knows Best”) when they weren’t part of mainstream discussion. James Avery’s Uncle Phil was such a powerful father figure that he gave a young J. The show may be anchored by Will Smith’s once-in-a-generation charisma- but the rest of the cast are no slouches. ![]()
You may also want to check out Apple's "Understanding NetInfo" document (I don't have a URL, but it should be easy to find at ) The one big thing to keep in mind is that all the text files the guide talks about editing need to be "checked in" to netinfo via niload (see man niload for more info). Remember, the BSD layer of OSX is synched to FreeBSD, so this document is more or less right on. This will help give you an overview of BSD printing. Which is the Print Serving section of the FreeBSD Corporate Networker's Guide. ![]() Apsfilter is the superior product (IMNSHO) but may give you some grief to compile (haven't tried on OSX myself.). Magicfilter has worse docs and will require you to build m4 (one of fink's packages) for it to work, but barring that, should be easier to set up. To get started with ghostscript, then see:įor more info on filters. If, on the other hand, it's old hat to you, or you're willing to give it a go. If this scares you, this may not be the way to go. Well, let me preface this by saying that this solution will require downloading and compiling source code. If you can trick it into seeing the printer, the LJ4 uses almost the same PDL as the LJ1100 (actually, in CUPS, for the 1100, you use the LJ4 driver) so that may be worth a shot. One last thing: You might try using a driver for a LaserJet4 (not 4L, 4M, or anything else like that). OTOH, when and if Apple delivers it (complete with Aqua config tools, one would imagine) it definately _does_ have drivers that work with the 1100 (assuming apple doesn't pull them out). For now, you would have to build it yourself, which may well be a cast-iron bitch. ![]() Apple recently bought the rights to use this in OSX, so I suspect we'll all be seeing it soon. Has anyone else tried this with any success?Īnother option might be CUPS (the Common Unix Printing System). I've been meaning to try standard UNIX print services under OSX, but I don't have a printer to do it with (or a USB cable for the LJ1100). It will probably be a hair more complicated under X since all the above-mentioned tools are already in NetBSD's package system (sort of like fink let's you build and manage third party software) so there were no real porting hoops to jump through. It wasn't trivial, but it wasn't really that hard, either. I just finished making this same printer work under NetBSD. they're not, but they should be fairly easy to build (especially magicfilter). Ghostscript is available through fink, as to the filters. The two big ones out there are apsfilter and magicfilter A filter is a line in your printcap file that determines how to handle different file formats and how to translate them into your printer's PDL. There are three basic tools you need: lpd, the printing daemon, which ships with OSX and is configured through netinfo (ie, if you edit your /etc/printcap file, you'll need to do an niload)įinally, you'll need a magic filter program (not strictly true you can write a filter yourself, but it's a pain). Ghostscript is a free postscript emulator that also acts as a RIP between various PDL's (in this case, from postscript to PCL4) Basically, this printer, as an HP product, expects input as PCL4.0 (the 4.0 version of HP's page description language). If you are reasonably comfortable on the command line, you could try using the ghostscript drivers. ![]() ![]() ba bay bayyy Everybody know thats mine I juss gave her a nick name, it's wet-wet Cause when we finished she mess up all the bedsets She got sommin' to relax me when i'm under stress Never told her, but to let her know it but she the best She like to spell her name wit her tongue on my chest If you had told me it was this good, i'da never guessed She full of surprises, i don't know what she'll do next But while she sleep i sneak and put hickies on her neck And when she go out, she shut down the whole set love to see her in heels wit the slit in her dress She like to do her own hair and get her own checks My BUST IT BABY i keep 'er on deck She got me speedin' in the fast lane Pedal to the floor mayne, tryna get back to her love Best believe she got that good thang She my little hood thang, ask around they know us You'll know that's mine. You can keep the Frost Knights busy with Aquila, then take out the flyers. There’s a Ravager, two Frost Knights, and two Shielded Bathos. Okay, this is one will take some careful attention. Defeat the five enemies without taking any damage. ![]() On the second main island, you need to jump over the wall.ġ3) Flawless Conquest (Argent) - Immediately after you destroy the second camera (Dante says "One more") don’t drop down! Jump straight across and OAL to make it to the platform with the Argent Door. Just chain OAL across and use Angel Burst (hold it down for more distance!). Follow this path for a Gold Key.Ġ2) Simple Traversal (Copper) - As you platform your way to the second camera (after the Frost Knight battle) you’ll find a blue vine door up on a platform. Gold Key - After the fight around the fountain (where you first encounter a Shielded Pathos), jump up to the OAL grip. Punch back the with Eryx, then follow the path to an Argent Key. Mission 4 - Under WatchĢ keys, 2 doors Argent Key - After the cutscene of the street dropping away, go down the stairs and take your first right. ![]() Once the two Stygians are dead, parry the grenades back to the flyers with Osiris (holding B makes it easy). Keep them alive, and ODP enemies into the explosion radius they cause before bailing out (careful not to ODP the flyers!). Fortunately you have some bomb-throwing Bathos flying around. The shtick: they only take damage from other enemies. You have 70 seconds to kill four enemies. Stop at the platform when Dante says "Another blue rose?" and look right. Move up the stairs for a copper key.ġ1) What Goes Around (Argent) - Early on in the mission you’ll have to chain OAL across to a few floating rocks. Mission 3 - Bloodlineġ key, 1 door Copper Key - After the first battle and the ensuing cutscene (Dante says "I’ll have to find another way"), take your very first right and destroy the Arbiter door. Alternatively, just have fun, don’t get hit, and use all your weapons. There’s enough time between full cycles for your rank to keep on climbing. A very simple way of doing this: send out every Kablooey dart and detonate them. Since you can only be here on a second playthrough, you’ll have plenty of weapons to get that done. Here you have two minutes to gain an S rank. After the blue vine door, take an immediate right and Angel Burst across. Kill six Stygians within one minute.Ġ8) Stylish Victory (Copper) - After the you exit the room with the painting of Eva, you’ll do some platforming and break two doors. As soon as you’re back in Limbo, leave the room, drop down, and move the camera around to spot the Copper Door. Mission 2 - Home TruthsĢ keys, 2 doors 03) Simple Eradication (Copper) - Late on in the mission, you’ll go to the weird dreamworld, where you’ll do some platforming. If you can launch two enemies up in the air together, you’ll be on your way to making record time. Doing this twice on the same enemy is just enough to kill them. Hold B to launch them and give them a four sword-slash combo. The twist: they only take damage while airborne. 01) Air Brawl (Copper) - You’ll have to defeat a few Lesser Stygians within one and a half minutes. Ah, and don’t bother going through this until you’ve finished the game at least once many of these keys and doors are in fact impossible to get to without late game abilities (which you have from the get-go in a second play-through of the game!) Mission 1 - Foundġ key, 1 door Copper Key - Immediately after your first Lost Soul, take a left and platform across to a Copper Key.
